Dedicated to the memory of Rudolph Leslie Raymon Stevens

This site is a tribute to Les Stevens, who was born in Tunbridge Wells on January 22, 1929. He was and still is much loved and will always be remembered fondly.

The funeral service was held in the family Chapel on Tuesday the 10th of January 2017 at the Eastbourne Crematorium, Hide Hollow, Langney at 1.45pm.

Family and friends came from near and far to attend the service which was led by our Celebrant Louise and we pretty much filled the Chapel to capacity! The wonderful and memorable service celebrated Les's full life and great achievements and raised a chuckle or two!

To add a splash of colour to the service, as Les was fond of red (which he wore at his wedding), the gentleman wore a red tie (some wore a bow tie!) and the ladies a red scarf, shawl etc.

After the service we all joined together at the wake at the Priory Court Hotel in Pevensey to talk about Les's life, his achievements and some of the funny moments (and there were many!) that he had given us, some inadvertently!.

Les had a couple of charities close to his heart, even making provision for one of them in his Will. The family requested that instead of flowers, donations be made instead to these charities via this website. Sleep Well Les and "Keep on Dancing"!
